So playing with the height of the printer bed eventually got to me, and I decided that I would switch the z-axis optoendstop from being based on the floor, to clinging to the z-axis bar.
Also, the techzone optoendstops are terrible, unless you remove the stock connectors and just solder directly onto the pads.
However, going out and buying plywood and going ALL the way over to NYC Resistor to laser cut it would be too much effort, so I glued together a bunch of card stock, and drilled through it. It turns out that I have a terrible drill for my dremel, though, so I did it by hand.
A drill press would've been handy, but so would've been a laser cutter.
